Precision Farming Ecosystem for Digital Skills enhancement across CE, to support digitalisation, sustainability and specialisation of Agri food manufacturing SMEs in Precision Farming transition
Farmers and food companies are slower in adopting digital technologies in comparison to other sectors. It is therefore necessary to make farms and food industries aware of digitalisation advantages and benefits, in particular by providing them with success stories and testing with them how a technology can concretely be useful. The AGRI-DIGITAL GROWTH project introduces central European farmers and food companies to precision and digital farming trends through training programmes and a new knowledge-transfer ecosystem. Concretely, the partners establish five living labs to stimulate informal peer-to-peer exchanges on practical experiences and fieldwork among all relevant stakeholders.

1.1 Precision Farming Knowledge transfer Ecosystem
Within the project Agri-Digital Growth, project partners aim to identify
and map stakeholders within the regions of the Interreg Central Europe programme who are
actively engaged in advancing digitalisation, promoting sustainabile practices, producing
machineries in the primary sector and its related value chain.
The Ecosystem is a network that will bring benefits to its members:
1. Stakeholders receive targeted training in the areas relevant to them;
2. Cooperation between companies, exchange of knowledge and its transfer from theory to practice;
3. Exchange of best practices and mutual support:
3.a support farmers and advisors in upskilling their digital knowledge and and exploitating
the potential of precision farming.
3.b support agricultural manifacturers in developing new solution for precision agriculture and its integration on the device or equipment.

1.2 5 Precision Farming pilot courses for SMEs digitalisation and specialisation
5 pilot courses validated by target users and delivered in open source platform to transfer hard digital skills to future Precision Farming Specialists (talents) and SMEs on the topic strategic for the renovation of the sector:

2.1 5 Transnational living labs to stimulate digital knowledge transfer and cooperation between SME, talents and R&D centers
5 Transnational collaboration Living labs between PPs, SMEs, talents and R&D centers that validate the figure of Precision Farming Specialist as driver of innovation and renovation of SMEs. Living labs will put into practice and test new knowledge favouring peer to peer interaction and experience exchange between the actors of the value chain. The 5 living labs will bring together at least 1PP, 1 SME, 1 talent activating a collaboration on one of the domains tackled in pilot courses.

3.1 Regional Action Plans to support Regional specialisation and digitalisation of SMEs across Central Europe
Nine regional action plans realised starting from transnational workshops with S3 managers and project experience to support the regional specialisation of the value chain connected to agriculture to favour the re-skilling of CE SMEs workers in order to promote the digitalisation and sustain the competitiveness of the sector.
The project will facilitate participatory dialogue with S3 managers and associated partners to ensure the successful deployment of action plans in the seven target regions. This collaborative approach will help to ensure that the action plans are tailored to meet the specific needs and priorities of each region, as well as align with the overarching goals of the project.

Overview of the Skills of Precision Farming Specialist
The development of the Precision Farming Specialist profile was done through a collaborative effort among project partners from Central Europe, starting from the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the National Qualifications Frameworks (NQFs) of participating countries.
The Precision Farming Specialist is a multidisciplinary profile requiring foundational knowledge across various fields, tailored to the operational context.
Agri-Digital Growth had synthezed these profile according to their skills, competences, performance indicators, and expected results

Transnational Workshop involving the Quadruple Helix
On 7 November 2024, in the framework of the EIMA International Fair in Bologna, Italy,
Agri-Digital Growth held a workshop to promote transnational collaboration and policy alignment. This workshop brought together key stakeholders from different regions (and
quadruple helix levels) to discuss common challenges and opportunities related
to Precision Farming (PF).
Discussions focused on leveraging the strengths of each Central Europe region to create a competitive advantage in the PF industry. They also provided an opportunity to contribute to the realization and update of Regional Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialization (RIS3) in the regions of Central Europe.
