Project overview
Zero Waste Community-Based Organization Hubs for Lagging Rural Areas
Youth emigration, ageing and underused resources hold back development in many lagging rural areas of central Europe. RURE VIVE aims to turn this around by building zero-waste local economies and attractive local jobs. Partners from Slovenia, Croatia and Poland set up rural demo centres run as community-based zero-waste hubs that map resources, train residents and support local initiatives and start-ups. They combine know-how from Slovenian incubators, Croatian sustainable farming and Polish eco-tourism to boost entrepreneurship, institutions and resource efficiency.
