An important part of the workshop was imagining Kranj in 2050 – will it be greener or more digital? Will there be more plants or more concrete? How will cities adapt to rising temperatures and extreme weather events?
Using the collage technique and recycled materials, the participants created their own visions of a greener, more climate-friendly, and resilient future city. Through discussion, teamwork, and creativity, many inspiring ideas emerged about green public spaces, sustainable urban living, and coexistence with nature.
We were inspired by the young participants’ enthusiasm, imagination, and strong environmental awareness.
The collages are currently on display at France Prešeren Primary School Kranj and will also be exhibited in the old town centre of Kranj at the end of June.
