The day prior to the conference, the seventh project meeting was held at Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, where partners discussed the final activities and steps required for the successful completion of the project and the preparation of the final deliverables.
As part of the event programme, participants visited the new Karlovac neighbourhood of Luščić and the historic city centre of Zvijezda. In cooperation with the Karlovac Technical School, an educational workshop for children on renewable energy sources was also organised, aiming to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable development and the energy transition among younger generations.
The conference also presented project results and explored the potential application of digital and energy planning tools in the regeneration of historic urban areas. For Karlovac, the ZEB4ZEN project represents an important contribution to rethinking the future of Zvijezda—how to improve its energy performance and sustainability while preserving its historical value, identity, and unique sense of place.
