At the beginning of October, NiCE project partners and external experts gathered in Brzeg Dolny, in Poland for a transnational meeting and study visit focused on circular lifestyles and community-driven change. The event opened with greetings from the local hosts and an introduction to the project’s goals, followed by a visit to the impressive Cistercian Monastery in Lubiąż — an example of how cultural heritage can be revitalised and given new life.

The group then explored the Zero Waste Multicentre in Brzeg Dolny, where hands-on workshops in woodworking, sewing, cooking and DIY showcased how practical activities can inspire more circular habits in everyday life. These sessions sparked conversations about community involvement and the role of shared spaces in promoting sustainable behaviour.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to cooperation and planning ahead. Partners worked on adapting the strategy framework, improving knowledge-sharing through documentation and educational materials and developing concrete ideas for future actions that will ensure the lasting impact of the NiCE project.

A big thank you to the Partners from Brzeg Dolny for their warm welcome and excellent organisation — and to all partners for their continuous engagement and creativity. Together, we are moving forward with a shared vision of more circular and livable cities across Central Europe!
