As part of Naše pole 2025 in Nabočany, a roundtable brought together a broad range of stakeholders to discuss the practical application of carbon farming and the potential of carbon farming business models in the Czech agricultural context. The discussion was led by Ing. Jakub Prudil and Bc. Štěpán Krejčí.
Participants explored carbon farming principles and techniques as well as opportunities for applying the business model approaches developed through Carbon Farming CE. Through smaller breakout groups, they discussed selected topics in greater depth and exchanged perspectives based on their different roles and experiences.
A questionnaire was also used to gather participants’ views on the potential, opportunities and challenges of carbon farming in Czech agriculture. The discussion and stakeholder feedback provided practical insights that contributed to the project’s work on developing and testing carbon farming business models.
The event brought together farmers, agricultural advisors, researchers and academics, representatives of public institutions and companies active in carbon credit trading, providing perspectives from across the carbon farming value chain.
