Following the successful completion of the pop-up store and “small” pilot at Herrengasse 10 in Graz
in September 2024, the journey towards the “House of Future” continued with a „Future Breakfast“ in
October and a „Vision & Mission Workshop“ in December 2024.
The “House of the Future” is a joint project involving many stakeholders from politics, administration,
business, science and civil society in Graz.
The Future Breakfast on October 23rd, 2024 was a further step in opening up the project and invited
interested co-thinkers and co-designers to get involved in the planning and implementation. The 23
participants worked on the content concept, business model & financing, location and users at
themed tables.
The „Vision & Mission Workshop“ on December 13th, 2024 with an expanded core team of 9
institutions focused on needs, people, partners as well as interventions and future results of the
“Haus der Zukunft”
. The “House of Future” is intended to create the future through joyful cooperation
and radical transformation! To this end, it offers space to shape a positive future together.
The focus for 2025 is on finding suitable locations. Ongoing discussions are currently being held with
owners of vacant city centre retail space.
