The HUMANITA project team is thrilled to announce the second-round online workshop with experts, the workshop “Monitoring Visitors and Their Environmental Impacts” organized as a part of the Interreg Central Europe HUMANITA project on “Human-Nature Interactions and Impacts of Tourist Activities on Protected Areas”. The event will take place on June 24th, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.

Following the first event held in June 2024, this second workshop is aimed at sharing the opportunities, challenges and criticalities of the monitoring tools and methods adopted, between the protected areas involved in the project and external experts.

We seek to build an active and constructive confrontation for the improvement and increase of knowledge for future field activities and cooperation across protected areas.

The state-of-the-art of tourists’ monitoring activities in pilot sites will be presented alongside the introduction of the monitoring database we built, which is instrumental in data analysis and the subsequent definition of action plans for protected area conservation.
