The Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE COOL-BORDER project will officially start with its kick-off meeting in Istria, Croatia, on 24-25 September 2026. Project partners from Hugary, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia will meet to discuss project activities, establish cooperation structures, and launch the first implementation phase.
COOL-BORDER supports SMEs in the frozen and chilled food sector by addressing cross-border barriers related to packaging, documentation, logistics, and hygiene procedures. Through a joint support programme and six cross-border hubs, the project will help companies reduce waste, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen circular business practices across Central Europe.
Being only one month into the project, partners are highly motivated to begin this collaboration and to jointly develop innovative approaches that support more sustainable and resilient food value chains across the region.
