The discussions focused on the challenges of urban logistics, particularly in the municipalities of Piran and Nova Gorica, while speakers also highlighted opportunities for the future development of urban logistics. The event featured a best-practice example of integrated mobility in the city of Šibenik, and prof. Tomislav Letnik presented solutions and perspectives for managing urban logistics systems.
One of the potential solutions is being piloted within the GRETA project, which is developing a micro urban consolidation centre on the edge of the pedestrian zone in Maribor. The hub aims to enable zero-emission last-mile deliveries by offering a parcel locker for short-term consolidation and equipment such as electric and manual carts to support efficient, environmentally friendly deliveries within the pedestrian area. Operating 24/7, the hub will also allow more flexible delivery options also beyond regular delivery hours.
