On April 8-9th 2025, GRETA partners met in Budapest to discuss the progress of the project activities, focusing on pilot activities performed in Budapest, Poznan, Reggio Emilia, Maribor and Verona. The solutions mentioned are designed to mitigate emissions, congestion and noise caused by deliveries in the cities. The pilots consist in greening the last mile deliveries with the use of cargo bikes and other compact sustainable vehicles through micro-hubs or in solutions related to curb-side management. Most of the activities are currently in progress and partners actively discussed the challenges faced before and during the implementation. Partners raised the importance of the early involvement of the main stakeholders and operators and dwelled upon the issues related to local regulations.

The intention is to provide these tested solutions also beyond the project boundaries in other cities of the region and beyond. To this aim different training activities and promotional events are planned in the coming months, to build synergies with other projects and initiatives and spread the word about project results and future plans.

The first one to be mentioned is the workshop dedicated to “Unlocking innovation in urban logistics: the role of stakeholders’ governance” planned for May 7th, 2025. Moreover, three other meetings of the GRETA Permanent Working Group with external projects are planned.
