Date: 16.02.2024

The GRETA Consortium, coordinated by ITL (Institute for Transport and Logistics Foundation), successfully kicked off its first in-person project meeting on February 14th and 15th in Bologna.

The meeting brought together partners from Central Europe to discuss the project’s future activities, milestones, and joint strategies for greening urban logistics in functional urban areas of the piloting cities of Budapest, Maribor, Poznan, Reggio Emilia and Verona.

During the meeting, participants engaged in productive discussions, peer-review sessions, and interactive workshops to brainstorm pilot actions and enhance stakeholders’ engagement which will consist in a wide top-down and bottom-up co-creation process.

The agenda also included a visit to an innovative urban logistics solution implemented within the URBANE Project, showcasing lockers and sustainable last-mile deliveries in Bologna’s city center thus boosting relevant synergies with other EU funded projects.

The GRETA project aims to decarbonize last-mile deliveries and create livable and accessible cities by implementing joint sustainable solutions, including zero-emission vehicles and cargo bikes. The meeting in Bologna provided a great and tangible opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing among partners who were happy to finally meet each other in person!
