Citizens, students, and local decision-makers took part in hands-on experiences with autonomous vehicles (AVs), engaging directly with emerging transport technologies that are reshaping the future of urban mobility. These activities are part of a broader initiative to foster responsible innovation, co-designed with and for communities.
Held in the public spaces of Varaždin, Demo Day 1 featured test rides, stakeholder engagement, and the introduction of governance tools developed under GINEVRA. By enabling diverse groups—from youth to senior citizens-to explore AVs in a safe and structured setting, the project brings to life its commitment to participatory governance and trust-building in technological innovation.
This pilot event is the first in a series across GINEVRA’s demonstration cities, with Cesena (Italy) and Bad Schönborn (Germany) to follow.
