From evidence to action: GO4FAIR MOVE partners meet in Bielsko-Biała

Date: 05.10.2026
The first day focused on taking stock of the project’s progress and consolidating the evidence base for the next steps. Partners discussed the results of Activity 1.1 on territorial evidence, questionnaires and participatory mapping, as well as the work on good practices and community-based governance models under Activity 1.2. The programme also provided an opportunity to review the status of Period 1 activities and deliverables and agree on the actions needed for the months ahead.

Three territories, three pilots

A major focus of the meeting was the move from evidence to pilot operational planning. Dedicated sessions were organised for each of the three GO4FAIR MOVE pilot territories: Basso Ferrarese in Italy, Varaždin in Croatia and Bielsko District in Poland. This allowed partners to discuss the emerging pilot concepts together and connect local activities with the overall objectives of the project.

The meeting also launched work on the GO4FAIR MOVE strategy, providing a bridge between the territorial evidence collected so far, the forthcoming pilot activities and the longer-term solutions the project aims to develop.

Preparing communication for the pilot phase

As GO4FAIR MOVE moves closer to implementation on the ground, communication and stakeholder engagement are becoming increasingly important. A dedicated communication training session led by EMFIE therefore focused on preparing partners for the communication campaigns accompanying the pilots. This was followed by a joint discussion on how communication can support pilot implementation and stakeholder engagement in the three territories.

The two days concluded with discussions on financial management, reporting, upcoming deadlines and next steps.

Many thanks to our Polish partners for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality in Bielsko-Biała. We leave Poland with clearer next steps, stronger cooperation – and the three GO4FAIR MOVE pilots firmly in sight.
