On 24 March 2026, the Final Conference of the Interreg Central Europe project TeBiCE took place at Corte Benedettina in Legnaro, near Padua. The event marked the successful completion of the three-year project (April 2023 – March 2026). The conference brought together project partners from six Central European countries, representatives of the European Commission, regional authorities, bioeconomy clusters, and entrepreneurs. Its main goal was to present the project’s achievements in developing sustainable bio-based value chains and to discuss the future of territorial biorefineries in the circular economy. Key highlights included: Presentation of the European Bioeconomy Strategy Showcasing of TeBiCE results, including the Value Chain Generator (AI-powered platform), pilot actions on valorisation of by-products (e.g., Prosecco yeast residues, radicchio leaves, apple pomace, pumpkin seed cake, hemp residues), and the Book of Good Examples. Round table “What’s Next?” with success stories from companies and research institutions across Central Europe. Capitalisation session on synergies with other European initiatives. The event underlined concrete achievements such as increased production volumes in selected value chains, identification of new market opportunities, and removal of regulatory and technical barriers through transnational cooperation. The Final Conference in Legnaro not only closed the TeBiCE project but also opened new perspectives for scaling up circular bioeconomy solutions in Central Europe.
