Carbon Farming and Bioeconomy in Practice: Stakeholders Meet in Poland to Discuss Long-Term Cooperation

Date: 14.05.2026

On 29–30 March 2026, stakeholders from across Poland gathered to discuss the practical implementation of carbon farming, regenerative agriculture and circular bioeconomy solutions. The event was organised within the framework of the Carbon Farming CE project and linked with the MIDAS project, bringing together representatives of research institutions, farmers, advisors, public authorities, businesses, non-governmental organisations and innovation support organisations.

The discussions focused on translating carbon farming concepts into practical solutions that can be successfully implemented on farms and integrated into agricultural value chains. Participants exchanged experiences on topics such as advisory support, carbon monitoring and certification systems, data-driven decision-making, and the role of cooperation in supporting sustainable land management.

A key message emerging from the event was that carbon farming extends beyond individual agricultural practices. Its successful implementation depends on strong cooperation between farmers, advisors, researchers, businesses and public institutions, as well as on building trust and long-term partnerships throughout the agricultural sector.

Particular attention was given to the role of the Central European Carbon Farming Cluster established within the Carbon Farming CE project. The Cluster aims to strengthen collaboration among key stakeholders and support the long-term sustainability, transferability and further development of project results beyond the project’s lifetime.

The event provided an inspiring example of how diverse actors can work together to shape the future of carbon farming, bioeconomy and sustainable land management. Through knowledge exchange, networking and joint discussions, participants contributed to building a stronger foundation for future cooperation and climate-smart agriculture in Central Europe.
