On 4 April 2025, the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia hosted a capacity building seminar at the Jablje Infrastructure Centre, bringing together farmers and agricultural advisors to strengthen practical knowledge of carbon farming.
Following an introduction to Carbon Farming CE, the seminar addressed key topics related to the implementation and wider uptake of carbon farming:
- innovative carbon farming techniques and business models;
- methods for monitoring carbon storage in soil;
- the role of organic matter in maintaining soil health;
- policy developments related to carbon farming; and
- carbon credits, emissions and practical challenges faced by farmers.
The seminar provided an opportunity to connect project knowledge with questions and experiences from agricultural practice, supporting the transfer of Carbon Farming CE results to farmers and agricultural advisors.
