On 18 October 2024, the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute (IUNG-PIB) hosted a workshop at its experimental farm in Błonie-Topola, Poland.
The workshop focused on farming techniques supporting carbon sequestration in soil, with particular attention to the advantages and challenges of using cover crops. Participants also exchanged knowledge and experiences related to water management, organic fertilisation and precision agriculture.
The event brought together different perspectives from agricultural practice, research and other stakeholder groups, supporting an exchange on the practical opportunities and challenges associated with carbon farming techniques.
