On 15 April 2026, the OPTI-UP partnership gathered in Ljubljana for the 4th Technical Meeting and Steering Committee meeting. The event brought together project partners to review progress, discuss ongoing activities, and align on the next steps as the project moves into its final phase.
The meeting focused on updates across all work packages, including the status of analysis and planning activities, pilot action monitoring, development of the deliverables, and communication and dissemination activities.
Particular attention was given to the final phase of the project, during which the partnership is working to turn the knowledge, analyses, models, and pilot experiences developed so far into concrete and transferable results.
The meeting also provided space for discussion on pilot action monitoring and evaluation, as well as on the next steps related to the finalisation of project outputs. Within the OPTI-UP framework, pilot actions and thematic solutions are intended to support more efficient, sustainable, and better integrated public transport systems, while the final toolkit is being developed as a practical and user-friendly instrument for future planning and decision-making.
An additional highlight of the meeting were guest lectures on the new Ljubljana Passenger Centre project, which brought valuable local insight and enriched the discussion on sustainable mobility, public transport development, and integrated transport planning.
The Ljubljana meeting was an important opportunity for the partnership to exchange knowledge, confirm priorities, and strengthen coordination for the closing stage of the project. With the final project phase now underway, the OPTI-UP partnership continues working toward practical results that can support better public transport planning and implementation across Central Europe.
