On 25 November 2025, a meeting with representatives of local fish farms was held at the headquarters of the Carp Valley Association in Zator. The purpose of the meeting was to present the objectives of the Central-BIC project and to share the progress achieved so far.
Participants took part in an open discussion focused on identifying their training needs. Three key thematic areas emerged as priorities for future capacity-building activities:
Promotion of high-quality aquaculture – including marketing and effective communication strategies
Traditional, environmentally friendly aquaculture practices and techniques
Innovations in sustainable aquaculture – such as sustainability certification schemes
The meeting provided valuable insights into the expectations of local stakeholders and will help tailor future training activities within the Central-BIC project.
