Online
Location: Hungary
Date: 20.02.2026
On 20 February 2026, the Energiaklub Climate Policy Institute hosted a highly successful online webinar titled “From Grey to Green and More Resilient Settlements”, bringing together more than 100 participants from across Hungary. At the event, the Reflex Environmental Association showcased the Ready4Heat project.

The webinar featured short, focused presentations combined with practical insights, offering participants a comprehensive overview of how nature-based solutions can be effectively implemented at the municipal level. Speakers presented concrete steps and good practices for integrating green and blue infrastructure into local planning processes, highlighting both strategic and operational considerations.

At the event, experts shared insights on urban resilience and nature-based solutions. Topics included lessons from the Localience project, featuring an extreme weather catalog and a municipal preparedness self-assessment tool. The GreenScape CE project highlighted steps and best practices for implementing nature-based solutions in towns. Finally, discussions focused on integrating green-blue infrastructure into municipalities and identifying where such solutions are most effective.

During the event, a representative of the Reflex Environmental Association presented the main phases of the Ready4Heat project. The presentation outlined the project’s pilot actions, shared lessons learned from implementation, and introduced the policy briefs developed based on the project’s results.

The organizers specifically recommended the webinar to professionals working in local governments, urban planning, policymaking, and civil society organizations who are engaged in climate adaptation, green space development, and strengthening urban resilience.

The strong attendance and active participation demonstrated the growing interest in practical, locally applicable climate solutions and the importance of knowledge-sharing platforms that connect policy, planning, and on-the-ground experience.
