The event was accompanied by a rich program featuring educational and creative activities.
At Pr’ Golitu Hall, Dr. Trajče S. Nikoloski Vidrnski gave a lecture entitled “The Impact of Nectar Plants on Bee Pastures”, emphasizing the importance of preserving nectar-bearing plants for bee health and ecological balance.
In the ICRUM classroom, a creative educational workshop for children, led by Monika Krajnc s.p., invited young participants to decorate pots and sow seeds of nectar plants. Each child took home their own “mini habitat” for pollinators – a symbolic contribution to nature conservation and raising awareness about the importance of biodiversity. The Idrija Association of Friends of Youth additionally enriched the day with a fun and educational program for the youngest visitors.
The event was organized within the framework of the Central BIC – Biodiversity Innovative Communities project, co-funded by the European Union (Interreg Central Europe). The aim of the market was to promote sustainable agriculture, local self-sufficiency, and awareness of the importance of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Once again, the Autumn Market proved that cooperation among local producers, artisans, and the community can create a lively and inspiring event that connects people and nature.
