The Czech project team met with five patients with spinal cord injuries and their family members to discuss key topics and challenges in greater detail. The workshop helped refine questionnaires that would later be used to gather additional information from a wider group of patients at different stages of their care and rehabilitation journey.
Discussions focused on issues such as accessibility barriers, pressure ulcers and their prevention and treatment, as well as sexuality and quality of life. The meeting provided valuable insights into the everyday experiences and needs of patients, helping the project team better understand the challenges they face.
One of the most encouraging outcomes of the workshop was the strong engagement shown by participants. Patients and their families expressed a very positive attitude towards the project and a genuine interest in contributing to the development of innovative solutions that could improve their lives and support others facing similar challenges.
