The CAPITAN MAURICE Kick-off Meeting took place on 29–30 September 2026 in Katowice, Poland, hosted by the Central Mining Institute – National Research Institute (GIG-PIB).
The meeting brought together project partners to discuss the objectives, planned activities and pilot actions of CAPITAN MAURICE.
Particular attention was given to the capitalisation of results from five previous projects: MAURICE, Re-Public Spaces, Sponge City, Project 148 and KaraMon. Partners exchanged experiences and discussed opportunities for transferring and adapting existing solutions to new regions.
The meeting marked the beginning of joint efforts to strengthen climate resilience and promote sustainable urban water management across Central Europe.
