The Central-BIC project is approaching an important milestone as project partners and stakeholders prepare to gather in Genoa, Italy, from 21 to 23 October 2026 for the project’s Final Event and 6th Steering Committee Meeting. The three-day programme will provide an opportunity to reflect on project achievements, exchange experiences, explore local good practices, and discuss the results of international cooperation.
Three Days of Knowledge Exchange and Local Experiences
Hosted in the Liguria Region, the event will bring together project partners and stakeholders to review the project’s final activities, share experiences, and highlight initiatives related to local food communities, agricultural practices, and regional cooperation.
The programme will begin on 21 October with the 6th Steering Committee Meeting, focusing on the project’s remaining activities, communication efforts, and other relevant matters.
In the afternoon, participants will visit Serra Riccò, where they will meet representatives of the RURÀ Food Community and learn about local initiatives. The day will conclude with a working dinner at the Terra e Cielo farmstay.
On 22 October, participants will take part in a series of study visits showcasing regional experiences and practices.
The programme will include a visit to the Centro di Sperimentazione e Assistenza Agricola (CeRSAA) in Albenga, followed by an educational lunch focusing on traditional white cuisine at the Cioi Longhi farmstay in Montegrosso Pian Latte.
Participants will also meet representatives of the Mendatica Food Community and the Maritime Alps Seed Food Community. The day will conclude with a visit to the Casa del Pastore in Mendatica, featuring an exhibition on sheep farming and a visit to the Maison dell’Outdoor.
These activities will provide opportunities to exchange knowledge and gain insights into local food traditions, agricultural initiatives, and community-based practices.
Final Event – 23 October 2026
The main Central-BIC Final Event will take place on 23 October 2026, bringing together project partners, stakeholders, and interested participants to discuss the project’s achievements and outcomes.
The morning programme will feature the Final Event from 9:00 to 10:30, followed by the Third Open Group discussion from 11:00 to 13:00, dedicated to exploring project topics and results.
The event will provide a platform for sharing experiences, reflecting on lessons learned, and exchanging perspectives on the project’s outcomes.
An educational lunch featuring local products will follow the morning sessions.

Interested stakeholders and participants who cannot attend in person will have the opportunity to follow the Final Event and the Third Open Group discussion online.
