Food waste prevention and practical circular solutions were recently highlighted during a live broadcast of Czech Television’s morning programme Dobré ráno, thanks to Petra Foltynová.
The discussion focused on “A Second Chance for Food” (Druhá šance pro jídlo) and explored practical approaches to preventing food waste, as well as responsible ways of managing unavoidable organic waste. Among the solutions discussed were composting and anaerobic digestion in biogas plants, which can help recover value from organic waste and contribute to a more circular approach to food resources.
The broadcast also provided an opportunity to invite the public to Researchers’ Night (Noc vědy) 2026, highlighting the importance of connecting research and innovation with society and making scientific knowledge accessible to a wider audience.
