On 28 October 2026, the ZEB4ZEN tool will be presented at the final event of the EU-funded Energy Efficiency First Plus (EE1st Plus) project.

During the event, the analysis carried out in the Karlovac–Zvijezda pilot area, one of Croatia’s most valuable historic urban areas, will be presented together with renovation scenarios developed for the area as a practical example of applying the Energy Efficiency First principle.

As part of the session, participants will also be introduced to the ZEB4ZEN tool, developed within the Interreg Central Europe ZEB4ZEN project. The tool supports energy planning by simulating the impact of different measures in terms of energy savings, CO₂ emission reductions, and operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) costs, providing decision-makers with a data-driven basis for planning future interventions.

The event will also highlight synergies between ZEB4ZEN and EE1st Plus, demonstrating how knowledge, analyses and digital tools developed through different EU-funded projects can complement each other to support the green transition and climate neutrality while preserving the cultural heritage of historic urban areas.
