On 21 September 2026, TWINUP4CE partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary met online to exchange experiences in workforce skills development. The workshop provided an opportunity to present regional good practices and explore their potential application in other regions.
Discussions focused on two complementary approaches: upskilling, which strengthens skills for existing roles, and reskilling, which helps people develop skills for new roles and career opportunities. Each partner presented selected examples from their region, highlighting different ways of responding to changing labour market needs.
The Croatian partner, Regionalni koordinator SMŽ, presented three initiatives from Sisak-Moslavina County:
- PISMO powered by A1
- AI & Gaming JURK EDIH
- The Regional Centre of Competence at the Technical School Sisak
These examples illustrated approaches to developing knowledge and skills while connecting education, businesses and labour market needs.
The exchange enabled partners to compare regional experiences and explore which practices could be transferred and adapted to local conditions. It supports TWINUP4CE’s wider objective of improving workforce skills for the green and digital transition in peripheral and rural Central Europe.
