IRR organised the 1st ENRICH-US Local Stakeholder Workshop in Bystřice as part of the participatory process in the Czech pilot territory. The workshop followed the initial project activities focused on governance diagnosis and stakeholder mapping and created a common starting point for further local discussions.

The workshop was attended by 22 participants, including representatives of the Town of Bystřice, the local community, the Association of Municipalities Benešovsko, MAS Posázaví, the Central Bohemian Region and other relevant local and territorial actors.

The programme included three main presentation blocks. First, IRR reintroduced the ENRICH-US project, its objectives and the planned pilot activities in Bystřice. The project was presented as a tool to support sustainable eco-cultural tourism through bottom-up participation and cooperation between public, private and community actors.

The second part focused on the results of the local governance diagnosis and stakeholder mapping. Participants were introduced to the main findings concerning Bystřice’s eco-cultural tourism potential, existing governance structures, stakeholder roles and key coordination gaps. The stakeholder chain map was also presented, showing core, secondary and tertiary actors relevant for local tourism development.

The third part introduced the main tourism governance models considered within ENRICH-US: Destination Management Organisation (DMO), Community Cooperative (CC) and Public–Private–Community Partnership (PPCP). These models were explained in a practical way, including their strengths, limitations and possible relevance for Bystřice.

The feedback from participants confirmed that the topic and the presented models were generally understandable. Respondents highlighted the need to strengthen local coordination, improve information sharing, involve businesses, associations and residents, and develop better digital information tools for visitors.

The workshop created an important basis for the next participatory step: discussing which governance model, combination of models or specific model elements could be most suitable and realistic for Bystřice.
