VALUE-DRIVEN COMPANIES IN CENTRAL EUROPE ARE INVESTING IN THEIR TEAMS’ MENTAL HEALTH

Date: 16.06.2026
Lesson learned:

1. Mental health in companies is no longer just an HR topic or a “nice-to-have” benefit. It is becoming a strategic investment in the long-term strength, resilience and competitiveness of an organisation.

2. When employees feel safe, respected and supported, they are more engaged, more creative, and better able to handle pressure and change. A healthy working environment reduces absenteeism, prevents burnout, improves cooperation and strengthens trust between employees and leadership.

3. Investing in mental health means investing in better communication, stronger teams, responsible leadership and sustainable performance. It also means recognising that productivity cannot be separated from wellbeing. People who are constantly overwhelmed cannot contribute their best ideas, energy or commitment.

4. Forward-looking companies understand that mental health support is not a cost. It is part of risk management, talent retention and organisational development. It helps companies build workplaces where people can grow, contribute and stay motivated over time.

We want to thank the project partners for their excellent work, convincing front-running SMEs in their territories to invest in mental health in their working environments and strengthening their innovation and long-term capacities.
