On 21 November 2025, LAMORO organised the public event “Central-BIC in the Bormida Valley: Seed Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services, and Rural Communities for the Ecological Transition” at the Municipality of Monastero Bormida. The event brought together 33 participants and 12 speakers, including local and regional institutions, academic representatives, development agencies, rural associations, producers, students and citizens, to discuss the role of rural communities in protecting biodiversity and enhancing ecosystem services. The day ended with a convivial moment featuring local products, including Roccaverano PDO, bread from the “We Want the Bread of the Bormida Valley” project and local bakery products, followed by a guided visit to the Polleri Mill.
