The ENRICH-US partnership officially started project implementation with a Kick-off meeting in Prague on 3 March 2026, followed by a study visit to the Czech pilot city of Bystřice on 4 March 2026. The two-day programme helped partners align operational set-up and connect project planning with real-life territorial needs.
Kick-off meeting in Prague (3 March 2026)
During the kick-off meeting, project partners confirmed the shared working methodology and coordination routines for the coming months. The agenda focused on practical arrangements for smooth implementation, including internal cooperation, communication flows, and key administrative processes.
We were honoured by the participation of two special guests who supported the partnership with valuable programme-level guidance:
- Ms. Viera Slavikova, representative of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Joint Secretariat, and
- Ms. Stella Horvathova from the Czech Ministry for Regional Development (First Level Control)
Study visit to the pilot city of Bystřice (4 March 2026)
On the following day, partners travelled from Prague to Bystřice to gain first-hand insight into the local context of one of ENRICH-US pilot territories. After arriving at the Bystřice railway station, the group walked together to the local community centre, where a meeting with city representatives took place. Partners then visited and discussed key locations across the town, linking the project’s objectives to the local reality and opportunities for pilot implementation.
Why this matters
ENRICH-US aims to empower rural and inland communities by testing eco-cultural tourism management models and tools, supporting bottom-up, participatory decision-making, and strengthening cooperation between municipalities, local organisations, businesses and residents. The kick-off and study visit marked an important first step towards pilot actions and stakeholder engagement activities that will be developed in the participating territories throughout the project.
Whats next
Following the kick-off and pilot visit, the partnership is moving forward with initial coordination, stakeholder engagement preparations and the planning of pilot activities. Updates will be shared regularly on the project website and social media channels as implementation progresses.
