Urban logistics is crucial to ensure economic vitality and liveability of European cities. At the same time, it is a growing cause of congestion, greenhouse gas emissions, and competition for limited public space. Indeed, in Central Europe, rising e-commerce demand, dense historic urban fabrics, and increasing pressure on curb space have enhanced the challenges related to last-mile and last-meter deliveries.

To solve these issues, the cities of Budapest, Maribor, Poznan, Reggio Emilia and Verona adopted solutions for last-mile deliveries in their cities in close cooperation with policymakers, logistic operators and finally shop owners.  Curbside management, microhubs and the use of green vehicles like cargo-bikes were tested in the GRETA project and the results have proven several benefits for the cities involved in the pilots.

If you are interested in learning more about our solutions, results and additional information for adopting similar last-mile solutions in your own area, join the webinar and discuss directly with our implementors the potential benefits.
