On February 18th, 2026, the GRETA project will present its achievements in Central European urban logistics in a wider event which is organised in collaboration with “Urban Logistics and Mobility Conference”. GRETA aims at supporting urban mobility transition in several Functional Urban Areas located in Central Europe, through common solutions and strategies by decarbonizing the list mile deliveries. Most suitable solutions like curb management and establishment of microhubs for last mile deliveries through zero-emission vehicles like for instance cargo-bikes were tested within each FUA of Budapest, Maribor, Poznan, Reggio Emilia and Verona. These solutions and results will be discussed in a dedicated session during the conference.

Similar solutions and capacity building activities applied in other countries and projects will also be presented with the aim of inspiring further use of such methos to improve urban logistics in Central Europe and beyond.

Session 1: From pilot actions to practice: Results and future pathways from GRETA’s FUAs:

This session will present the main results and lessons learned from these pilots, highlighting how such initiatives implemented in the framework of EU-funded (Interreg Central Europe) projects represent a valuable opportunity for authorities and operators to foster the development of innovative solutions, making the testing phase sustainable also from the financial point of view.

Following the discussion, Ms. Claudia Pamperl, project officer at the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Central Europe Programme . will explain how projects funded by the Interreg Central Europe programme contribute to achieving the programme’s overall strategic objectives and impact at transnational level. She will also highlight how individual project results align with broader programme priorities such as innovation, sustainability, and regional development.

Session 2: Permanent Working Group with external projects- 5th Workshop – Capacity Building for Smarter Urban Logistics

The 5th Workshop of the Permanent Working Group focuses on strengthening capacity-building activities for urban logistics operators and policy makers. This session aims to enhance the skills, knowledge, and practical tools needed to support the transition toward more efficient, collaborative, and sustainable urban freight systems.
