The University of Bologna (UNIBO) invites professionals, students, and sustainability enthusiasts to take part in a new international webinar series focusing on the bioeconomy — one of the key drivers of Europe’s green transition.
The Transnational Bioeconomy Webinars will highlight how innovative and sustainable solutions are being developed and implemented across different sectors, showcasing real-life applications and success stories from companies and research initiatives.

What is the bioeconomy?

The bioeconomy is built around the sustainable use of renewable biological resources — such as crops, algae, waste materials, and microorganisms — to produce food, materials, and energy. It plays a crucial role in reducing dependence on fossil resources and supporting the development of a circular, climate-neutral economy.
