From 3 to 5 November 2025, the TRANS-BORDERS+ partnership gathered in the charming village of Heřmanice v Podještědí, in the Liberec Region of northern Czechia. Hosted by our Czech partner KORID LK, the meeting brought together representatives from ten organisations across five countries — all united by one goal: to make cross-border public transport more connected, sustainable, and people-centred.
Over three inspiring days, partners reviewed project progress, shared insights from their regions, and worked together on the next steps for the Open Journey Planner (WP2) and Smart Mobility Points (WP3). Discussions focused on how digital travel information systems and upgraded public transport stops can help bridge mobility gaps in rural and border areas.
A key moment of the meeting was the field visit to rural bus stops along the Czech–German border, where participants could see first-hand the challenges of everyday mobility in cross-border areas — and discuss practical ideas for future pilot actions.
Beyond technical sessions, the meeting fostered genuine dialogue and teamwork. It once again reflected what TRANS-BORDERS+ stands for: cooperation beyond borders, innovation for sustainable transport, and a shared European vision of connection and cohesion.
A heartfelt thank you goes to KORID LK for their warm hospitality and excellent organisation, and to all project partners for their dedication and collaborative spirit. Together, we are turning borders into bridges.
