As part of the EU Projects Open Doors Day, the City of Karlovac presented several successfully implemented EU-funded projects that serve as excellent examples of sustainability, as well as ongoing initiatives that are crucial for development in key sectors such as energy and energy efficiency, environmental protection, transport and urban mobility, revitalization of cultural and historical heritage, and education.
One of the highlighted initiatives was the ZEB4ZEN project, coordinated by the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP), with the City of Karlovac participating as a project partner. The project aims to accelerate the transition towards zero-emission buildings in Europe’s neighborhoods, aligning with the EU’s climate and energy goals.
