The LECA partners WWF Slovakia and WWF Hungary are organising the Stakeholder Platform Meeting to discuss the future of large carnivores (with a focus on lynx) in the cross- border pilot area Slovak Karst – North Hungarian Mountains. Invited participants include conservation experts from the pilot area – NP Slovak Karst, Protected Landscape Area Cerova vrchovina, NP Bükk and NP Aggtelek.
The meeting will feature a presentation of the results of lynx monitoring in the area and discussions on the status of the large carnivores populations, the effectiveness of preventive measures used to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts and strategies to tackle poaching in the area.
