About the Conference

The Health Labs4Value Transnational Conference will showcase how co-created, value-based innovations can transform healthcare delivery in Central Europe. It also marks the official establishment of the Transnational Health Labs4Value Network as a sustainable platform for collaboration beyond the project’s lifetime.

This event highlights the results of three years of cooperation, showing how Living Labs and Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC) can create concrete, scalable solutions.

Pilot Innovations

Five pilot actions developed tangible healthcare solutions through co-creation in Living Labs:

Hungary → A digital surgery management system reducing administrative errors and streamlining workflows.

SloveniaHealthlord, a rehabilitation app offering patients simple video exercises at home.

GermanyActiveTEP, an app supporting patients before and after hip replacement surgery.

Poland → A biometric e-signature system simplifying documentation and reducing waiting times.

Czech Republic → A self-care app for spinal cord injury patients, enabling reminders, exercises, and independent management.

Conference Goals

The Health Labs4Value Transnational Conference will:

 

  • Showcase the results of the five pilot actions.

  • Present five regional Health Labs4Value as sustainable structures for healthcare innovation.

  • Launch and consolidate the Transnational Network of Health Labs4Value.

  • Highlight the added value of transnational collaboration, aligned with RIS3 priorities and EU health policies.

  • Facilitate dialogue among policymakers, providers, patients, and innovators.

  • Strengthen the European VBHC discourse, connecting Health Labs4Value pilots with other EU initiatives and best practices

 

 

At the conference we will showcase:

  • five pilot innovations from five countries,
  • the launch of the international Health Labs4Value network,
  • perspectives from policymakers, healthcare providers, and MedTech companies.

Only the five pilot solutions will be presented here. Focus should be placed on the use of the Living Lab methodology and the experiences gained from it. The technical aspects should not be the only thing presented.

  • Spinal Cord Solution – Developed in the Czech Republic, this solution focuses on improving spinal cord treatment and management  – Helena Juraskova and Vendula Machackova
  • Improved Case Management of Hospital – This solution, developed in Hungary, aims to enhance hospital case management processes – Hungarian hospital (TritonLife Group) Péter Baán, director of strategy and network development.
  • Digital Signature – A solution from Poland that involves the implementation of digital signatures to streamline healthcare documentation
