The Energy Communities Congress is open to all who want to be part of the dialogue in the works towards a more sustainable energy environment. To help spark that dialogue, this year’s edition consisted of four panel discussions with 35 experts. The topics of the panels focused on the future of energy communities – from technology, through financing models, to legal issues.
Later during the event, the participants partook in three parallel training courses: “Energy cooperatives in practice”, “Development of energy clusters” and “Energy storage”. Other attractions were a prelection on international energy communities and the Energy Communities Gala with the presentation of awards.
The Congress is a space for exchanging knowledge, building relationships and jointly developing solutions that can be implemented at the local level. It is also an opportunity to discuss current legal and technological challenges facing the community energy sector. This year’s edition of the Congress confirms that local initiatives are gaining increasing importance as the foundations of a sustainable energy future in Poland.
The Congress was attended by more than 400 representatives of local governments.
