Description
During the workshop we will introduce results by the NiCE project, including:
(1) a virtual exhibition of 30 good practices related to sustainable lifestyles from NiCE partner cities;
(2) a “monitor tool” for the analysis of the status quo, challenges, and potentials for circular lifestyles, an indicator-system with five thematic groups including 1. circular lifestyle ecosystem, 2. circular lifestyle actions, 3. performance indicators, 4. policy interventions, 5. result indicators and was developed based on reviewing existing indicator systems and primary research in NiCE cities; and
(3) a strategy framework for the promotion and establishment of circular lifestyles in cities/city centres.
Format
- The session will start with the introduction of participants (15 minutes),
- followed by a 20 minutes-long presentation about the project & development process of different results for mainstreaming sustainable consumption.
- The next section, around 35 minutes will be about experience-gaining: two posters will be developed about the Strategy Framework (discussed in 10 minutes) and monitor tool (discussed in 10 minutes) which will be presented to participants as well as they can test the virtual exhibition with their own notebooks/ smartphones and in-site appliances (15 minutes).
- Finally, depending on the number of visitors, in one or two groups we ask participants to provide feedback and discuss further cooperation.
