Bridging Functional Borders to Enhance Renewable Energy Communities Across Central Europe

Renewable energy communities bring residents, municipalities and local businesses together to produce and use clean energy. Yet they develop unevenly across central Europe because rules, financing options and local expertise differ from one region to another. REC-BRIDGE adapts tools from earlier Interreg projects into the REC-BRIDGE Toolkit, a practical guide for setting up and running such communities, from engaging members and assessing energy needs to choosing workable technical and business models. Five regions will test the approach, while shared training and a roll-out strategy will help others apply it.
