Project overview

Cross-border Climate Adaptation Alliance for Central Europe

Floods, extreme heat and severe weather often affect communities on both sides of a border, but neighbouring authorities may use different data, risk maps and planning methods. CENTRAdapt combines tools from earlier Interreg projects into one shared approach for assessing threats and agreeing how to respond. Three border regions will test it by mapping risks together, involving residents and preparing coordinated adaptation plans. The results will help authorities align local strategies and turn successful approaches into practical guidance for other border regions.
