The urban orchard in Brestje, Zagreb, is currently at a high level of planning. The City will sign a contract with the City of Zagreb Holding Company, for the works and equipment of the urban orchard, following the design procured from the landscape architect, and drafted following the co-design workshops.
The City will make sure that the entire area is well planned and ready to use. The works will begin in July, and it is expected that the orchard will be finished by October, with the fruit trees being planted in late November, when the meteorological conditions are favorable.
The composting device is expected to arrive in early June and it will be installed in the school near the kitchen.
