Over 80 students from Realschule Bad Schönborn participated in the 8th Grade Council, an initiative aimed at introducing young citizens to local politics and municipal governance. As part of the event, students were also introduced to the EU-Interreg GINEVRA project, which focuses on the future of autonomous driving and its potential to address key mobility challenges. Nadia Ries, representing the Municipality of Bad Schönborn, presented the concept of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and discussed their relevance in overcoming public transport limitations, such as driver shortages. The session sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among the students, many of whom expressed keen interest in the project and its upcoming demonstrator. This activity not only encouraged youth engagement in local decision-making but also fostered awareness about innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
