Our colleague and WWF Hungary’s Large Carnivores Programme Leader, Dávid Sütő introduced large carnivores using 3D printed skulls, scats and footprints, explained their role in the ecosystem, answered questions about coexistence, showcasing best practices and good experience from the LECA project while he also emphasized the importance of transboundary cooperation with such species. As the event took place in a town by the foot of the Bükk Mountains where wolf and bear spottings are quite common, many visitors were interested in practical information about what to do if one encounters these animals.
While their parents and elder siblings engaged in discussions about large carnivores, small children could play different games to learn more about forests and their inhabitants including wolves, bears and lynxes.
