The INACO project consortium recently concluded a productive three-day meeting and workshops held by Lake Balaton in Hungary. This gathering represented a significant step forward in the project’s mission to enhance the resilience of cultural heritage sites across Central Europe.

A primary focus of the event was the active engagement of project stakeholders. Participants were invited to test the newly developed INACO tools, providing critical feedback to ensure these resources are effectively tailored to the practical expectations and requirements of end users. This collaborative testing phase is essential for bridging the gap between technical development and real-world application.

In addition to tool validation, partners participated in specialized training exercises dedicated to the co-development of risk management procedures. These sessions focused on establishing robust protocols for heritage sites before, during, and after threatening events, ensuring a comprehensive approach to disaster mitigation and emergency response.

The program also featured a site visit to the INACO pilot area in Fonyód. This allowed participants to examine the high shore landscape firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of the specific heritage and environmental challenges associated with the western shores of Lake Balaton.

A video summary documenting the workshops, stakeholder sessions, and field visits is now available for viewing.
