Urbio Bauhaus at the Polish Geography Congress

Date: 15.09.2025

During the event, we presented the main assumptions of the Urbio Bauhaus project as well as the results of the first stage of research conducted by the Polish team – including the groundwork for implementing an assimilation model of park lighting.
🔎 Three presentations were delivered:
🌿 Lighting as a “participant.” A model for implementing night design strategies in urban areas – the case of Langiewicz Park in Wrocław
🌿 Studies on lighting perception and urban biodiversity – the case of a municipal park in Wrocław
🌿 The impact of artificial light at night (ALAN) on phenology and photosynthesis of urban plants
💡 Authors: Paweł Jarzembowski, Anna Faltyn-Parzymska, Sylwia Wierzcholska, Katarzyna Tokarczyk-Dorociak
🤝 The conference was also an opportunity to meet with the DarkerSky4CE (Darker Sky) project team – together we discussed synergies and possibilities for future cooperation.
We sincerely thank and congratulate the organizers of the Congress of Polish Geography and the 8th National Scientific Conference on Light Pollution.
It was an honor to meet with you.
