Our strategic call for capitalisation closed on 27 November 2025. With this call, we invited organisations from across central Europe to develop transnational cooperation ideas for capitalisation projects that will “reduce the effects of borders on flows and functional linkages among central European regions, for a more competitive and resilient central Europe.
When we closed the call, 496 organisations had joined forces in 73 project proposals to strengthen the impact of Interreg for the benefit of central Europe. The call budget of around 23 million Euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) will be allocated to the best project proposals.
If you applied to the strategic call for capitalisation, you are surely interested in our timeline for the assessment and selection of projects. We have already started with initial administrative and formal checks of the submitted project proposals. This will be followed by the quality assessment. The final step, the selection of projects by the programme monitoring committee, is expected in the middle of 2026.
