Slovenia explores fast-track reimbursement models for digital health: Insights from the Digivitality Round Table

Date: 02.10.2025

The Digivitality round table in Slovenia provided a platform for healthcare professionals, innovators, and policymakers to discuss how to accelerate the safe and effective adoption of digital health solutions.

Building on European examples such as Germany’s DiGA, Belgium’s mHealth Pyramid, and France’s PECAN framework, participants examined how evidence-based and patient-oriented models could guide Slovenia’s own approach. The debate highlighted that while regulatory compliance and evidence generation remain challenging, clear frameworks and collaboration between clinicians, startups, and authorities are essential to foster trust and integration into healthcare practice.

The discussion also underlined the importance of aligning national initiatives with emerging EU standards, supporting early-stage innovation, and ensuring that digital tools are embedded within real clinical workflows.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue developing a Slovenian model that connects innovation with patient benefit — reinforcing Digivitality’s mission to make digital health more accessible, effective, and sustainable across Central Europe.
